(Extended Producer Responsibility)

Extended Producer Responsibility is the responsibility of every producer (Importer/Manufacturer) of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) for channelization of e-waste to an authorized dismantler/recycler for environmentally sound management of e-waste.

Extended Producer’s Responsibility is mandatory for all Indian Manufacturers and importers of electronic items for E-waste management. EPR Authorization is given by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). We can help you in obtaining Extended producer responsibility on pan India basis.

CPCB has in their notice emphasized all producers of Electrical and Electronic Equipment under the E-Waste rules of 2016 to get EPR certification

Every manufacturer, producer, consumer, bulk consumer, collection center, dealer, e-retailer, refurbisher, dismantler, and recycler involved in the manufacture, sale, transfer, purchase, collection, storage, and processing of e-waste or electrical and electronic equipment listed comes under these E-waste rules.

  • The government has taken appropriate steps under EPR authorization for the appropriate collection of e-waste, channelization, dismantling, and disposal of electronic waste after the end of its lifecycle.
